CHECK OUT THE NEW LOOK BRIGHTSIDE LABEL!!

The Brightside range has had a makeover! The two most recently released wines (2015 Pinot Noir and 2016 Pinot Gris) are sporting a brand new label designed by Simon Owen of Envisage Design here in Nelson. I am sure you will agree that it is a complete new look – definitely not just a tweak!

Brightside fans have adjusted well – sales haven’t broken stride!

New vintages will wear the new look as they are released. In particular, watch out for Brightside Blush – our pink wine for the upcoming summer months!

A GROWING REPUTATION FOR PINOT BLANC

We are stoked to receive the third high accolade in a row for our Pinot Blanc – from Bob Campbell, Master of Wine. He says this about the 2014 vintage:

“Attractively creamy Pinot Blanc with tree fruit, pear, quince and a hint of brioche. An alluring wine, with quite intense and Pinot Blanc no year jpegstrongly varietal flavours plus an ethereal texture. Very impressive.”     95/100, July 2016

Our debut 2012 vintage was rated 93/100 by Bob and the 2013 was awarded 95/100.

It’s great to be making an impression with our Nelson take on this lesser-known varietal.

The 2014 vintage is not officially released yet – but please just contact the winery (sales@kaimirawines.com) if you are interested.

WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN GAMBIA

_MG_2280-2(2)During the 2015/16 summer season we were stoked to raise $389 to support the Ndunga Charren school in the Gambia. This was through sales of small items handcrafted by Nelson local Jennie Green.  Coasters, sewing kits, aprons, crayon holders, fabric broaches, sketch pads, thread tidies, tissue holders and many more items made ideal gifts and souvenirs for our customers but also made a huge difference to children’s lives in an incredibly poor area of subsistence peanut farming.
