Fruit for this Gewurztraminer was sourced entirely from the organic certified vineyard adjacent to the winery. We harvested relatively early when the fruit reached 23.1° Brix on 24 March 2014.
Grapes were pressed very slowly and the juice was settled and racked. Fermentation was all in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to retain aromatics. The ferment was stopped at around 6 g/l residual sugar to give a splash of sweetness. The wine was bottled in July 2014.
Residual sugar 5.7 g/l Titratable acidity 4.45 g/l pH 3.33 Alcohol 13.3%
Fresh citrus, lychee, floral and spice flavours combine in this delicate Gewurzt that has just a hint of sweetness. The fine tannins contribute a slight peppery texture.

“Youthful and elegantly perfumed, this attractive gewurz shows ripe stone fruit, lychee, floral and spice aromas on the nose, followed by a succulent palate that’s smooth and finely textured. The wine flows beautifully to a delicately dry finish. Very friendly and easy on the palate.”
