We are thrilled to have won silver medals for our Kaimira Estate Brightwater Chardonnay 2008 and our Brightside Pinot Noir 2010. Our Brightside Pinot Noir has one two silver and one gold medal in the past three years, showing there is consistency in quality for this sub $20 Pinot.
Master of Wine Bob Campbell has been raving about our Kaimira Estate Brightwater Gewurztraminer 2009 in the April/May issue of the Gourmet Wine Traveller Magazine. He scored this wine 91/100 and gave the following review:
“Big, ripe gewurztraminer in an Alsace-like style with sumptuous, luscious fruit and pronounced spiciness. I suspect that a small amount of bortrytis is adding an extra dimension of honeyed complexity to the wine. The developed anise and clove influence suggests that the grapes may have been exposed to an extender ripening period. This is a serious wine in a moderately sweet style that shows impeccable balance and a lingering finish.”
